With more than 35 years of experience in the Intellectual Property field, Sara has dedicated her career to the protection and defense of Trademarks, as well as to the drafting of contracts and the conduct of specialized litigation. Her practice also encompasses the management of intellectual property portfolios, both nationally and internationally, consolidating a reputation for excellence and commitment to her clients.
She is distinguished by her closeness and human touch, qualities that have been fundamental in building lasting relationships of trust with those who have entrusted her with the protection of their most valuable assets.
In 1980, together with her husband Juvenal Donoso, she founded SERMACO (Trademark Service), an initiative that gave rise to what is today Díaz Donoso & Cía. Since then, she has been a key figure in the defense of intellectual property rights of Chilean and foreign companies, providing a strategic vision and deep experience in each case.
Sara has a law degree (2001) and obtained her law degree in 2002. She has complemented her education with several postgraduate courses, such as: Diploma in Commercial Law, 2007, Universidad de Chile, 2007; Diploma in Intellectual Property, 2009, Universidad Finis Terrae; Diploma in Mining Law, Universidad de Atacama 2005.

Since joining Díaz Donoso & Cía. in 2010, Angelo Donoso has been a key figure in the development and consolidation of the firm. In 2015, he became a partner, assuming a leadership role that has marked a before and after in the internal management and strategic projection of the firm.
His professional practice has focused on the protection and defense of Intellectual Property, with special emphasis on Trademarks, Patents and Unfair Competition. He has advised national and international clients in the design of legal strategies before administrative authorities, demonstrating a comprehensive and decisive vision. In addition, he has led specialized teams in the prosecution of industrial property infringements, consolidating a robust and effective practice in complex litigation.
It has been at the forefront of internal process optimization, driving the progressive implementation of systems that have significantly improved response times, reflecting its commitment to efficiency, innovation and operational sustainability.
His academic background supports his multidisciplinary approach: he holds a Bachelor's Degree in Legal Sciences from Universidad Central de Chile (2010) and obtained his Law Degree in 2013. He complements his preparation with a Diploma in Litigation in New Proceedings (Universidad Católica de Chile, 2014), a Diploma in Intellectual Property (Universidad Católica de Chile, 2015) and several courses given by WIPO.

Since joining Díaz Donoso & Cía. in 2019, Fernando has proven to be an exceptional professional, standing out for his efficiency and a strategic and precise approach in taking and developing cases. His practice has focused on the area of Trademarks, Patents, Unfair Competition and Personal Data, advising clients in the formulation of IP protection strategies and leading litigation processes before administrative authorities and civil courts.
Throughout his career, Fernando has maintained a constant intellectual restlessness, exploring matters related to Intellectual Property, Unfair Competition, Copyright, and more recently, the field of Personal Data.
Fernando holds a Bachelor's Degree in Legal and Social Sciences with distinction from Universidad Diego Portales (2015) and obtained his Law Degree in 2017. His education is complemented with a Diploma in Competition Law and Policy (Universidad de Chile, 2017) and a Diploma in Intellectual Property (Universidad Católica de Chile, 2020), which allows him to approach legal challenges with depth, criteria and vision of the future.

Juan Pablo is the partner in charge of the Natural Resources practice of the office, focusing mainly on Water, Labor and Mining Law. He advises Producers, Exporters, User Organizations, Communities, Canal Owners Associations, Surveillance Boards, among others, mainly in the Agro-export sector. He has more than 15 years of experience in the private and public sector. His specialty includes the improvement of water titles in order to adjust them to the new regulations regarding the reform of the Water Code, Regularization of Water Use Rights, Defense in inspection procedures, Changes of Catchment Point, Transfer of Rights, Modification of Channels, Modification of Intakes, Complaints and requests for Inspection, Water Protection and all types of proceedings before the General Water Directorate and Ordinary and Administrative Courts.
As for his practice in Mining Law, he stands out in matters of Concessions, Contracts, Easements and Lawsuits.
Alejandro Birman Polanco

Alejandro Samuel Birman Polanco, is a lawyer from Universidad Central de Chile, where he obtained the highest qualification in his professional practice, graduating with the highest distinction. He has vast experience in oral litigation and has been a professor at the Universidad Gabriela Mistral for more than 10 years, teaching labor law and social security. He advises individuals and legal entities on labor matters, and is on the list of labor arbitrator judges, where he has issued rulings on collective bargaining matters. His postgraduate studies include: Diploma in litigation and new procedures Universidad Católica de Chile, in labor matters. Postgraduate degree in Cybercrime and hacking from the University of Palermo, Argentina.Master's Degree in Labor Law from the University of Valencia, Spain and Master's Degree in University Teaching from the Gabriela Mistral University.

Macarena has a solid academic background and experience in the public and private sectors, specializing in financial management. She holds a degree in Forestry Engineering from the Universidad de Chile and a degree in Civil Industrial Engineering from the Universidad Central. She complemented her education with a Master's Degree in Industries at the same university, and has also obtained diplomas in Applied Geomatics (Universidad de Chile), Project Evaluation (Universidad Central) and Business Administration and Entrepreneurship (Universidad de Chile). She is currently in charge of finance and administration of the firm, leading administrative, budgetary and financial processes with strategic focus and operational efficiency.

Cecilia Andrea Dellarossa Henríquez is a Business Administration Engineer with more than 28 years of experience in the health sector. Throughout her career she has worked in customer service, team supervision, management control and training, standing out for her responsibility, commitment and skills to lead processes in high pressure contexts. She has additional training in professional writing techniques, service quality and computer tools. She is currently the Assistant Manager of the firm, where she brings her experience in administrative management, internal coordination and executive support. Her approach is focused on efficiency, teamwork and continuous improvement, being recognized for her proactivity, organization and quality service orientation.

Pamela qualified as a lawyer in 2023, and since then has demonstrated a firm commitment to professional development and legal excellence. Her training includes the course on Pleadings before Oral Courts and Superior Courts of Justice given by the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, which has allowed her to strengthen her litigation and argumentation skills in complex judicial instances.
Currently, Pamela is pursuing a Diploma in Corporate Law and Compliance at Universidad de Los Andes, deepening her knowledge in key areas for the modern practice of law, especially in the corporate and regulatory context.

Francisca Aguirre Sasso is a Legal Assistant with a solid background in Legal Sciences from the Universidad de Atacama, where she was recognized for her academic excellence and human quality. Her professional career reflects a strong social commitment, responsibility and proactivity, qualities that have led her to work in various areas of law, both in public and private institutions.
Her experience is complemented with recruitment work as a headhunter, and with active volunteering as an educational tutor at Fundación Conectado Aprendo. She is co-founder of the NGO SUMA, dedicated to promoting environmental education, and has certifications in violence prevention, sign language, fundamental rights and social project formulation.
Francisca stands out for her analytical, problem solving and collaborative leadership skills.
